| Harry (The Main Artist): For Harry, his art is what has kept him alive and is his way out of the situation he’s in. After being on and off the streets for 25 years, Harry still has hope for something better. He looks forward to the day he can get an apartment with a stove and his own bathroom. He makes no excuses for the circumstances of his choices and is honest and open about the mistakes he has made. His life is one of loss and pain, yet through it all, he still has hope and a gentle spirit that has not been altered by his time on the streets. Abby:Abby travels from city to city. It's a life style she chooses she says, "On the streets all I have to worry about is what I'm going to eat" Abby talks about her defining moment, where she came from and the reasons why she plays the spoons. Kevin: Kevin's story is like many others in this hard economic times. After being layed off and loosing his job, Kevin finds busking as a way to get the extras that he needs. Kevin can also be seen performing on the first friday of every month at Sunnyside. Will: Quote from Will: “I had a guy tell me the other day to get a hair cut and get a job. I said, brother, I probably work harder than you do… It's tough to do this. It's easy to be a street musician when it's 85 degrees and sunny, but come find me at 4:00 in the morning when it's pouring rain and I've got 35 cents...." T N'ice: T N’ice’s story is mixed with a young boy’s desire to perform and the necessity to do so. His father stands close by as he performs. Although his father works, he is not able to afford the necessities his son needs. T N’ice often uses his money to buy supplies for school. Emmett: Emmett admits to being an alcoholic. After loosing his brother 10 years ago, he turned to alcohol and drugs to numb his pain. On the day we filmed, Emmett was trying to detox. He told me he didn’t care about anything, but while I was there, Emmett helped a homeless girl asking for money. Lefty: Lefty is known as the one armed guitar player and is held in high regard by other street musicians. He uses a make-shift prosthetic to play his guitar. Michael: Michael spends most of his day trying to make people laugh. As you walk by, he asks, "Can I make you laugh for free today?" Although he asks for no money, individuals who stop, still give him a little. Michael is homeless.
